The form of the license agreement with the author(s) of the scientific journal of the Russian Academy of Sciences (available for download).

The form of the license agreement with the author(s), posted on the official resources of the Russian Academy of Sciences, is the only one approved by the Russian Academy of Sciences for use.

In accordance with the license agreement, the author grants the Russian Academy of Sciences an exclusive license to use a previously unpublished article in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Russian Federation.

No fee is charged to authors.

Online submission of manuscripts is carried out through the editorial and publishing system of scientific journals of the Russian Academy of Sciences on the national platform of periodical scientific publications of the Russian Center for Scientific Research (Click to follow).

To use the system, the user must register and log in in accordance with the rules for using the platform.

Rules for Authors

The journal "Вулканология и сейсмология / Journal of Volcanology and Seismology" covers the following issues:

• current land and underwater volcanic activity, products of volcanic eruptions, the structure of volcanoes and their "roots", seismic and other observations on active volcanoes, prediction of volcanic eruptions;
• Neogene-Quaternary volcanism; development of volcanic centers, evolution of volcanism in the history of the Earth;
• petrology of igneous rocks, origin of magmas;
• geochemistry of volcanic and post-volcanic processes and associated mineral and ore formation;
• geothermal and hydrothermal systems of volcanic areas;
• seismological observations, seismicity, current movements, deep structure and geodynamics of the transition zone from the Asian continent to the Pacific Ocean and other volcanic areas;
• earthquake and seismic process physics; seismic forecast;
• mechanism of deep magmatic activity and volcanic eruptions.

The journal publishes articles containing completed, not yet published results of theoretical and experimental works, review articles, and short reports on the journal's topics.

Authors submitting articles and short reports to the journal "Volcanology and Seismology" should comply with the following mandatory rules.

The work is submitted in the final form prepared for printing. An electronic version is sent to the editor (doc tables – in the folder, jpg figures – in the folder, doc article layout (tables and figures with captions should be inserted at the end of the article)) to the editorial office's e-mail address: vvolcan@pran.ru as well as through the Russian Center for Science Information Platform. The volume of articles should not exceed 24–28 printed pages, including text, references, captions to figures and tables), short messages should not exceed 24–28 printed pages. The number of drawings should not exceed 8 (eight).

1. The following accompanying documents are attached to the article (in electronic form): 1) a cover letter from the organization where this research was conducted, 2) a license agreement with the Russian Academy of Sciences, 3) information about the authors of the article.
2. Manuscripts should be printed on a computer in the Times New Roman font, 12 pts, line spacing 1,5, leaving the margins on the left and right sides. All pages should be numbered, including text, references, tables, and captions to figures. All values and units of measurement mentioned in the article must correspond to the standard designations. Abbreviations are not allowed in the text of the article (except for standard ones). Abbreviated names are explained at the first mention. Decimal places are separated by a dot (for example, 0.001).
3. The list of references is formed in alphabetical order – first Russian surnames, then foreign ones. Surnames and Initials of the author (s). Full title of the book (Collection name). City: Publisher, Year. The total number of pages (for example, 123 pages) or – the Names and Initials of the author (s). Full title of the article // Journal title. Year. Vol. 1. No. 1. pp. 11-22. In the text of the article, the reference is given in square brackets [Surname, year], if there are more than two authors [Surname of the first author, etc., year], if the work is given without authors [The first word of the Title of the work ..., year], foreign surnames are given in the original language. For example, [Ivanov, 2011; Semenov and Belov, 2018; Petrov et al., 2012; Seismicheskie ..., 2015; Benioff, 1951; Scholz, and Campos, 2012; Holschneider et al., 2012].
4. The illustrated material must be made of high quality, scanned and borrowed drawings from other works are not accepted. You must specify the scale on maps.

Figures should indicate the minimum number of alphabetic and numeric symbols that correspond to the text, as well as figures should contain the minimum number of inscriptions. Most of them are given under the appropriate caption to the drawing. You can only include maps, sections, and photos in the article in full accordance with the text. It is not allowed to reproduce non-alphabetic characters (hatching, circles, triangles, etc.) in the caption. In legend number, numbers are given in straight font, and letters are given in italics.

The text of the article with sections reflecting its content (for example, Introduction, Formulation of the scientific problem, Initial data, Factual material, Research Methods, Research Results, Results and their discussion, Conclusion), a list of references, translation (from the Title of the work to Keywords inclusive). Tables and Figures with captions should be inserted at the end of the article. First-level headings should be written in straight capital letters in the center of the line, second-level headings should be written in italics in the center of the line, and third-level headings should be underlined at the beginning of the paragraph (if there are more headings planned, then bold headings should be written in lowercase letters in the center of the line).

6. Articles formatted without compliance with these rules will be returned to the authors without concideration.
